1. Introduction

Thank you for downloading and installing SunOnly. This privacy policy describes our commitment to protecting your privacy and explains how we handle any information we collect. At Agile Mindshift GmbH, we place great importance on privacy and data security. The sole business purpose of SunOnly is to provide users with excellent weather forecast services. We do not sell user data. We use non-personal usage statistics to improve the features, reliability, and offerings of SunOnly.

2. Scope and updates to this privacy policy

This privacy policy applies to the SunOnly app as well as the servers and services used by the app.

We may change this privacy policy at any time by publishing the amended version on the sunonly.de website and in the app and stating the date on which the amended version takes effect. All material changes to this privacy policy will be communicated to you by email if you have registered with us.

3. Controller

Agile Mindshift GmbH, Kapellenstr.13, 85622 Feldkirchen, Germany, is the operator of the services and the controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Wherever this privacy policy refers to "we" or "our", it always means Agile Mindshift GmbH as the controller.

4. Collected information

To improve SunOnly, we collect information about how the app is used and how it functions technically. We use TelemetryDeck for this purpose. Usage analytics includes non-personal usage and technical data as well as voluntarily entered feedback text. You can find details in the section “Usage analytics with TelemetryDeck”.

5. Location data

The app allows you to display your location on a map. This information is processed on your device and is not sent to our servers.

6. Weather data requests

The app sends requests to our servers to retrieve weather forecasts for a map area selected by you. These coordinates are not linked to your personal location data. Our servers, hosted by Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, 38 avenue John F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg, act as so-called reverse proxy servers in order to obtain and cache weather data from OpenWeather Ltd. 7. Third-party weather data provider

The weather data displayed in the app is provided by OpenWeather Ltd., located at 30 St Mary's Axe, The City Of London, London, Greater London, EC3A 8BF, United Kingdom. OpenWeather Ltd. does not receive any personal data. All data requests are first routed to our reverse proxy servers. Requests that cannot be answered by our servers are forwarded to OpenWeather Ltd. 8. In-app purchases

Our app offers in-app purchases processed by RevenueCat, Inc., located at 1032 E BRANDON BLVD #3003 BRANDON, FL 33511, USA. All data collected during the purchase process is handled in accordance with RevenueCat's privacy policy. You can review it here: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy

We transmit the hashed TelemetryDeck identifier to RevenueCat as a user attribute. This allows usage events and purchase or subscription information to be associated with each other.

9. Apple Search Ads

We use the Apple Search Ads advertising service provided by Apple Inc. to increase the visibility of our app in the App Store and to analyze the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.

As part of Apple Search Ads, we use the AdServices Attribution API provided by Apple to determine whether an installation of our app can be attributed to an advertisement.

No personal data of individual users is processed or transmitted to us in this context. The information provided to us is exclusively aggregated, for example at campaign, ad group, or keyword level, and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about individual persons or devices.

Apple uses only its own data from the App Store environment to provide this information. No linking with data from third-party sources or cross-app tracking takes place.

The processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR in analyzing the effectiveness of our advertising measures and improving our app.

10. Usage analytics with TelemetryDeck

We use the analytics service TelemetryDeck, provided by TelemetryDeck GmbH, Von-der-Tann-Str. 54, 86159 Augsburg, Germany. This helps us understand which SunOnly features are used, how reliably the app works, and where improvements would be useful.

For this purpose, the app transmits usage events and technical information to TelemetryDeck. Examples include app launches, views and features accessed, selected settings, the Free or Pro edition in use, and information about execution times and technical errors. This also includes technical details such as the app version, operating system version, and device type.

TelemetryDeck protects the identifier used through a two-stage hashing process: it is first hashed on your device and then hashed again on TelemetryDeck’s servers with additional protective values (“salt”). According to the provider, neither we nor TelemetryDeck can reconstruct the original identifier from the stored identifier. Recurring usage can still be recognized and analyzed statistically.

According to TelemetryDeck, usage event timestamps are stored with a precision of one hour only. They do not store the exact time of the event in minutes and seconds.

According to the provider, IP addresses are stored neither in the analytics database nor in log files.

As part of this usage analysis, we do not transmit names, email addresses, or precise location coordinates unless you include them yourself in a free-text feedback field. Text that you voluntarily enter as feedback is transmitted to TelemetryDeck and analyzed to improve SunOnly. You decide what information you disclose about yourself. Please refrain from including personal or confidential information.

11. Server logs

Our servers log access for retrieving weather data and points of interest. These logs are used solely to ensure and improve operational processes. These logs do not contain any personal data.

12. Data sharing

To provide and improve SunOnly, we use the service providers described in this privacy policy. They receive the data specified in the respective sections for the purposes described. As part of usage analytics, non-personal usage and technical data as well as voluntarily entered feedback text are transmitted to TelemetryDeck. We do not sell user data.

13. Security

We are committed to keeping your information secure. To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard the information we collect.
